No trainer can guarantee results, because progress depends a great deal on the time and consistency you’re able to give your dog each day. What I can promise is that I’ll support you throughout the process and be available between sessions if questions come up.

Some trainers offer free consultations, and I did consider that approach. I charge a small fee because the consultation includes hands-on support. Depending on your dog’s needs, that may include a short walk so I can observe body language or brief coaching to help your dog stay calm before a walk. During the 60-minute consultation, we’ll talk through your goals and daily routine so I can create a plan that feels realistic and tailored to you. There is never any obligation to book additional sessions.

Email is the best way to contact me at jessica@jessicaclarkppct.com. I check it often and do my best to respond each day. While I can’t guarantee a reply within a specific timeframe, I review my email after every training session and will get back to you as soon as I can.

I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel. Whenever possible, I recommend rescheduling rather than canceling, as prepaid sessions are nonrefundable except in emergencies.

Dogs do best with consistency. Working with multiple trainers who use different methods can be confusing for your dog, slow progress, and make training less effective.

I use positive reinforcement training. Instead of punishing unwanted behavior, I focus on rewarding the behaviors I want to encourage, using treats, food, games, or praise.

That’s completely okay. I work with dogs from many different training backgrounds. Before becoming a certified trainer, I also worked with trainers who used different methods. Because every dog responds differently, I’ve found positive reinforcement to be the most effective approach. As my own dog began to trust me more, she was able to learn more too.

Each training session is tailored to you and your dog’s needs, so I use that time to review the behaviors you want to address and begin preparing a personalized training plan before our first session, including the consultation.
